It's been a little over a month since I made a posting & been 2 months since I made a posting about comics! So, here's one long post:

Marvel
- Fantastic Four: I've read this series on & off for years. I had stepped away from it but had come back to see what Mark Millar & Bryan Hitch would do with their run on the book. I enjoyed their first story but the current one I'm on the fence about. I do like their redesign on the way the cover looks, It's very snazzy.
- The Invincible Iron Man: I picked up this series, which launched shortly after the movie came out, mostly because I'd enjoyed the movie. The series, written by Matt Fraction, is enjoyable. The story is Ezekiel Stane (Obadiah's son) taking his revenge on Tony & Stark Industries for death of his father.
- Captain America: I started reading this book at the time it's main character kicked the bucket & keep reading to see where writer Ed Brubaker was going with the story. He just finished up the Death of Captain America storyline: the new Cap has excepted his role & twist with the red Skull should be interesting to see where he goes with that.
- Captain Britain and MI13: one of the Secret Invasion tie-in books I'm reading (I'm not read the main story but a lot of the tie-in stuff). It's interesting to see a different take on the MU.
- Avengers: The Initiative: one of the better books to come out of Civil War. Issue #13 has been one of the better single issue stories I've read in recent years. Long Live, Emery Schuab! This book has become tied up in the Secret Invasion but has still retained much of what makes the book enjoyable.
- Mighty Avengers: a book that has changed since Secret Invasion has started. I've seen hide nor hair of any of the members we had when the book started. It's turned in a book where Bendis can do back story stories or stuff with Nick Fury's rag tag bunch of would be heroes. i don't mind that group but the book does have the name "Avengers" on should at least one of them appear?
- New Avengers: Much the same story of MA just sans the Fury subplot.
- New Warriors: a job book that at times has suffered from some bad art (there have been times that I've found it hard to tell members apart if their not in costume). This book to has also become tied up in the Secret Invasion but it's been on the outskirts so it's that's been ok with me.
- Runaways/Young Avengers: It's another Secret Invasion tie-in book (There are a lot of those, aren't there?). I mainly read this just so I could know what's happening in Runaways. It was an ok story but nothing all that earth shattering.
Speaking of that book...
- Runaways: a book that relaunches for the third? fourth? time. It needed something after Whedon's chronically late storyline (it started off good but lost momentum). The art changes to a more cartoony style which takes some time to get use too. It's been an ok story & looks to be leading to something good.
- Guardians of The Galaxy: a good book that followed up to 2 good mini series (Annihilation & Annihilation: Conquest). The book has picked up some threads Secret Invasion & used them quite well.
- Wolverine: The "Old Man Logan" storyline has been one of the more geekerific storyline that I've read in awhile. I've been liking this more then his FF run.
- Big Hero 6: A mini-series for Japan's main Super Hero group. An enjoyable first issue, looking forward to seeing where this goes.
- New Exiles: was a big fan on Exiles but not so much as the relaunched series. It's just not grabbed me like the other series did.
- Marvel Apes: an enjoyable book that has gone beyond what could have been a real clunker.
- House of M: Civil War: The story of how Magneto came to rule that alternate dimension. I've been enjoying this & the past revisit to the HoM universe (House of M: Avengers).
- King-Size Spider-Man Summer Special: One of the only Spider books I've picked up recently. I really enjoyed it. You know it's going to be good from the first page. 95% of the book is good, there is a story in the middle that seems misplaced. It just didn't fit with the rest of the book. One last comment: Inside it's shows how the marriage of Mary Jane & Peter can work.
- The Age of The Sentry: Tales from the The Sentry's adventures from the 1960's. The book is written half by Jeff Parker & the other half by Paul Tobin. Both were enjoyable tales, looking forward to rest of the series.
Speaking of Jeff Parker: Marvel Adventure: The Avengers & X-Men: First Class are also written by him & are awesome. In the few issues of MA:TA Parker has been splitting up the book between him & Paul Tobin, similar to how TAoS is but both stories in MA:TA connect to each other in someway.
I have 3 Back Issues:
- What If... Wolverine led Alpha Flight: I picked this book up to add to my growing WI collection & I noticed who drew it: Bryan Hitch. I must say that over the last 14 years he's art style has definitely has changed. It's virtually unrecognizable as his art.
- X-Men Millennial Visions: a one shot book that had been looking for awhile. It's the first appearances of a few character that later one show up in Exiles. Plus, I like seeing alternate/possible futures.
- Ant-Man's Big Christmas: I picked the book up on whim & was really surprised at how good the story is.

DC
Action Comics: One of the more Awesome books out there. Writer Geoff Johns hits it out of the park every month!
Justice Society of America: Ditto.
Ambush Bug: Year None: a humorous journey through the various DCU events of the recent years.
Superman/Batman #51 & 52: Mini versions of the Justice League & Injustice League invade the normal DCU & hilarity ensues!
Booster Gold: one of the better solo hero books out there!
The Brave & the Bold: always some interesting team-ups in this book. I also like that each issue can be read on it's own but also adds to a larger story.
Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds: I think I had a medium sized Nerdgasm when I read this. It's that awesome! Now if Issue #2 would only come out.
Tangent Comics: Superman's Reign: one of the more interesting five week events from the late 90's return with an equally as cool mini-series. It's nice to see these characters again.
DC Super Friends: an odd kid comic.
Top 10: It's back with what it's calling "Season Two" after few years away. This time without Allan Moore doing the written duties. The book is good but the art is a bit weird, it's a mix of painted art & just colored art. Me noticing that took me a bit out of the story, but it was fine issue none the less.
I also picked up some back issues:
- A few issues of DC Comics Presents, every issue Superman teaming up with someone: In Issue 50, He teams up with Clark Kent. Some strange space anomaly is involved. In Issue 51, He teams up with The Atom (Ray Palmer) & time travel is involved. In Issue 57, He teams up with the Atomic Knights. The story wasn't exactly what the cover promised. I wanted to see the "great Atomic War of 1986". But sadly it's only part of a dream. In Issue 71 we get a great story that take place partly on Htrae (Bizaro World). I also picked up the 1st Annual for the series which takes place on Earth 1, Earth 2 & Earth 3. In the issue we get to see the first outing of Earth 3's only hero: Alex Luthor, He also meets his future wife for the first time.
- I picked up the Justice League America annual for 1990. It features the one & only appearance of Justice League Antarctica. It was an enjoyable tale, not as funny as some had built it up to be.
I also picked up some Graphic Novels/Collected Editions:
- I also started with the America's Best Comics Primer, you get 6 issues from that imprint for 5 bucks! It was a nice overview which lead me to buy the first volume of Tom Strong, Volumes 1 & 2 of Top 10 & Top 10: The Forty Niners. I liked the all besides the Forty Niner book. I also liked the stuff in Tom Strong's Terrific Talesbook but I haven't found that so I didn't buy it.
- The other book I bought was Animal Man: Deus Ex Machina, an enjoyable set of stories. My favorite issue was the last issue, not a lot of action but lot's to think about. The other stuff I really enjoyed was the events in Arkham & in the Comic Book Limbo.

Other Comics
- Atomic Robo: Robot built by Nikola Tesla for the Allies in WWII. Has a vague Hellboy fell to it but an enjoyable book none the less. AR is published by Red 5 comics.
- Assignment: Earth: The Star Trek spin off book from John Byrne. It reminds a bit of Doctor Who mixed with a some Men in Black elements.
Speaking of the good doctor, I've been picking up the Doctor Who comics that are being put out by IDW: not really like the modern Who comic, The Doctor Who: Classics book is quite enjoyable. I also like the first issue of Doctor Who: The Forgotten, the modern Who book was more like this I wouldn't be think about dropped that book.

Lastly, I said that this was almost 3 months on comics. It has taken me almost an hour & a half to type this all out for you to enjoy.

This is Entry 51: Fall TV Preview 2008
In fine MyBlog tradition It's almost been a month so I'm back with another entry that I'm shooting off into the Blog O'Sphere.
One year ago today (September 1st) I made an entry about the upcoming (2007) Fall TV season so this my entry about this (2008) up coming fall season. (The entry I reference is Entry 10). I'll be doing it much like that entry, dividing it up for by day & time.
Before we get started let's mourn for a few seconds about the untimely death of 2007 Television season due to the complications (i.e. The Writer's Strike).

8 pm: Chuck (NBC): one of the new series that I liked & am pleased to see it returning. The mini-series based off of the series is also quite good, if your a fan of the show I'd say pick it up.
Premiere: Sept. 29th
Back-Up Show: The Big Bang Theory (CBS): I have bow to the wisdom of Ryler32 that rebuffed my comment that this show would be cancelled & it wasn't. Which I am happy for, it's one of the few things that did make make it.
Premiere: Sept 22nd.
Back-Up Show #2: Dancing with the Stars (ABC): Something to watch with the Family. Well, I do some times. NOTE: Runs from 8 to 9:30.
Premiere: Sept. 22nd.
8:30 pm: How I Met your Mother (CBS): An enjoyable comedy.
Premiere: Sept. 22nd.
9:00 pm: Heroes (NBC): YaTah! One of the best shows out there is returning. (I know. I'm a big nerd but if you read this Blog you should know that already).
Premiere: Sept. 22nd with a clip show at 8.
Back-Up Show: Two & a Half Men (CBS): An enjoyable comedy.
Premiere: Sept. 22nd.
Back-Up Show #2: Dirty Jobs (Discovery): One of the two things I watch on the network. Makes me glad I don't have to do any of the things he regularly does.
Premiere: October, but epsiodes from past seasons are already running.
Back-Up Guilty-maybe-I-shouldn't-be-watching-this-but-hey-hot-girls Show: One Tree Hill (The CW): It's not aimed at me (I'm neither a girl or a teen) but if you want a show where you can sit down & turn off your brain for yet other hour, watch this! Bonus: Hot Girls!
Premiere: Yesterday. I saw most of the premiere & there are some crazy stuff that is going to go down on that show.
Tuesday
8 pm: NCIS (CBS): One of the more intresting "Cop" shows out there with a really well thought out cast of characters.
Premiere: Sept. 23rd
Back-Up Show: 90210 (The CW): I have vague remembrances of the original show so I'll check out it out to see if it worth watching or worth ignoring.
Premiere: TODAY! (Get it! 902010 premieres on 9/02).
9 pm: Privileged (The CW): from what I've heard/read it's a show about a New Yorker (played Joanna Garcia) who is emplyed by a rich family in California to help their celebutant daughters to get into College. Hilarity is sure to ensue (that's what the ad's show me).
Premiere: Sept. 9th.
Back-Up Show: Dancing with the Stars, the results show: Result to what you watched on Monday!
Premiere: Sept. 23rd.
Wednesday
8 pm: Pushing Daisies (ABC): The 3rd returning series I know that premiered last season. The shows premiss: A Private Invesitgator has a special power: One touch he can bring the dead back to life, another touch they die again & can't be reaised back again. He uses his power to his advanage in his work (ask the dead who killed them). He finds his childhood sweatheart (who's a girl named Chuck), she's died so he brings her back but he can never touch her again or she'll be lost to him Forever!
Premiere: October 1st.
9 pm: Mythbusters (Discovery): The 2nd thing I watch on the network (Dirty Jobs being the other). Explosions are cool!
Premiere: I have November as a premire date but they are already showing new stuff.
Back-Up Show: America's Next Top Model (The CW): One of my guilty reality show pleasures.
Premiere: Sept. 3rd, starts at 8.
Let's take a moment to mourn the loss of the remake of Bionic Woman. I liked the show so did my Mom. But I didn't like the main BW, I liked her predecessor. The one play by Katee Sackhoff, she was interesting. She had a fleshed out character, she had back story, she was nuts! The main BW played by whoever was not as interesting. She might of become interesting if the series went on but we'll never know.
Thursday
8 pm: Smallville (The CW): Superman's early years. I have a Like/Dislike realtionship with this show. This year Lex is gone so someone is running Luthor Corp., Green Arrow is a regular cast member. I think is also gone & Kara is a only is few episodes. Also, Doomsday shows up somehow.
Premiere: Sept. 18th.
9 pm: The Office (NBC): One of the Best Mockumentries on TV!
Premiere: Sept 25th.
9:30 pm: 30 Rock (NBC): One of the better comedies on the air.
Premiere: Sept. 25th.
Back-Up Show: CSI (CBS).
Premiere: Oct. 9th.
10 pm: Tim Gunn's Guide to Style (Bravo): I have enjoyed him on Project Runway & he's getting his own show.
Premiere: Oct 2nd at 11pm.

8 pm: Crusoe (NBC): The classic book I've never read is turned into a series I might not watch!
Premiere: Oct. 17th
9 pm: Doctor Who (Sci-Fi): Good British Sci-Fi! (When it returns next year some time I most likely will be at this time slot.)
10 pm: Numb3rs (CBS): A smart cop show.
Premiere: Oct. 3rd.
?? pm: Batman: The Brave & The Bold (The Cartoon Network): From what little I see & read of the series. It looks to be taking a classic take of Batman (like 1950's Comics/Adam West 1960's TV Show) but some of the design are of current (not classic) characters, Blue Beetle being one.
Premiere: Nov. 14th (I don't have a time but it's mostly in their Friday Night prime time block)
Saturday
11 pm: MADtv (Fox): Sometimes better then it's competition, sometimes not.
Premiere: Sept. 13th
11:30 pm: Saturday Night Live (NBC): It's seen better times but maybe this season will be one of those?

7 pm: America's Funniest Home Videos (ABC): Classic Long Running Clip show. Always good for a laugh.
Premiere: Oct. 5th.
8-10 pm: The Fox Cartoon block (The Simpsons, King of the Hill, American Dad & Family Guy): I do like me some cartoons.
Premiere: Sept. 28th.
10 pm: True Blood (HBO): Vampire can now live a some what normal existence thanks to a synthetic beverage called "Tru Blood" which means they need the real stuff & other things. I've seen some of the ad's for it (Vampires were people, too!) & I saw this Mockumentry about based in the Show's universe & that was pretty good. I'd give the show a try.
Premiere: Sept. 7th.
Other Stuff:
Ricky Gervais's stand-up special (HBO): The guy behind The Office before it crossed the pond. I've seen some of his stuff & I like british humor.
Premiere: Nov.
2 recommended Cartoons: Word Girl (PBS) and Phineas & Ferb (Disney Channel). WG is a educational show but the best part is the dancing by her monkey sidekick Captain Huggyface (yes, that's his name). With P&F has a great sense of humor, might be a bit to dry for most kids to get but it's one of the highlights of the show (another being Perry the Platypus).
2 Shows that are changing networks: Scrubs changes networks (from NBC to ABC) & they start Midseason. Project Runway changes networks (from Bravo to Lifetime, television for woman) & they start in Nov.

This is Entry 50: Anniversary!
We've hit the big 5-0!
What my original plan for this post was to post it on the 1 year anniversary of this blog. One slight hiccup in that plan: I had check on my first entry like a month or so ago & I thought it that I had made that post on August 9th. But, I looked at it yesterday & I made my first entry on the 7th, not the 9th. So, I've missed the date by 2 days. I guess I sort of celebrated it, the 3 dollar theater not far from my house (I referenced it in Entry 8) they have the IRON MAN currently playing so for 3 bucks I went to the movie with my dad. I enjoyed it a 2 time & my dad said it was a good movie. One of the better comic book movies he'd seen.
So, it's been a year (& 2 days) on this here Blog. I'd like to thank Scott Bryan, Ryler32, K.J., Joseph Gould, Jay Boaz, Stephen Crippen, Plotter & Kirk Boxleitner. Who are these people? They are the people who posted a reply. Well, Kirk didn't but he blog about this blog on his blog to which I blog about here (see Entry 18). I think this year I should attempt to get 10 people to reply!
Well, let's Stay Jazzy for another year shall we? Ok!

This is Entry 48: Troubles with the Internet!
I was going to have stuff to show you from the kick ass new comic King-SizeSpider-Man Summer Special with some nice art by Colleen Coover with some humorous accompanying text by Paul Tobin but NO! Photobucket, the site that host all my pics' is being a troublesome & they won't allow me to upload anything. I doubt it is a copyright thing but I don't know. This is Entry 47: Comics!
Ok, so I lied. I wasn't back "in a few days" to blog about the books I've picked up. I now have a mondo pile of comics so this post may be a bit shorter on the ramblings on each comic just so I can get through them all.
DC
- There are 3 things that are coming out this summer that I am/have been looking forward to: Ambush Bug: Year None mini-series, Justice Society of America Annual #1, Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worldsmini-series. Issue of AB came out & it's awesome!I heartily look forward to the next issue! The other book that came is the JSA annual & it too was awesome. I love a soft spot in my geeky soul for Earth 2 & it's great to see it back. I wouldn't mind seeing a mini-series about Earth 2 just to see where it's been since 1985 (This goes for Earth 3, too.) Sidenote about the JSA annual, having Jerry Ordway doing the art for the book was a perfect choice.
- I picked up the latest issue of Booster Gold but see Entry 46 for my thoughts on that book.
- I picked up the latest issue of DC Super Friends (issue 5) & the Friends are turned into Monkeys'! It was actually thought out which monkey they all turned into. There was a joke about President Bush in there was a thought as odd for a kid's comic. Also there was a "cameo" by Bobo (Detective Chimp) & Sam Simeon (of Angel & Ape fame) which I thought was funny, It probably would go over most kids heads (much like a Bush joke).
BACK ISSUES
- I picked up 2 issues of The Adventures of Superman (Issues 558 & 560), there are an early part of Dominus storyline from '98. These 2 issues have Superman & his cast of characters in done ina Silver Age style (it reminded me of Curt Swan's art). 558 is like a story from the old Jimmy Olsen comic. 560 is one of those old standbys of Lois dating Batman just to make Superman jealous. I already had issue 559 where everyone in Metropolis got super powers due to the involvement of Mr. Mxyzptlk.

And i just noticed that Jerry Ordway also did the art for these books, too! The silver age themed stories continued also in the other Superman books of the time which might search out.
- Superman #404 is from 1985 & one of those "imaginary stories" where Clark Kent never becomes Superman, he was Superboy but looses his powers. He goes on to lead a normal life, marries Lana Lang, they have a son. Clark is the head of chain of Supermarkets. The main part of the story is Lex Luthor has been released from prison & back to fight Superboy one last time. How Clark does the fight sans powers is bit in genius. A nice story.
- Detective Comics starring Batman #566 is from 1986 & is an issue where Batman & Robin go over their Rogue's Gallery. Most of them I knew but there were few that have gone by the wayside. (Night-Slayer? Nortuna?)
- Brave and the Bold #184, it's from 1982 & it's a team up that could have only happened pre-Crisis on Infinite Earths since it's Batman with The Huntress, the one from Earth 2. It's Christmas time & Helena Wayne (That's Huntress' real name, if you didn't know) is lonely so she crosses Earths to spent it with it her Father. No, It's not her father just his counterpart. They have an adventure to try & clear Bruce's parents good names (there is a possible mod connection brought up). A good issue.
Marvel
- I picked up Marvel Adventures: The Hulk #13 because it was The Hulk fighting off mummified versions of other Marvel heroes. They come off more like Zombies then Mummies. I was half expecting one to say: "Brains... Must eat Hulk Brains!" but that never happened. The story comes off as a kiddie version of the "Marvel Zombie" mini-series.
- I picked 2 books by Jeff Parker: Marvel Adventures: The Avengers #26 (The Avengers play a game of Baseball with Galactus & Silver Surfer over the fate off an alien world) & X-Men First Class #14 (The Team & Machine Man fight off Lava Men). I have an announcement concerning Parker: His really cool mini-series "Agents of Atlas" is becoming an ongoing series!
- Have have a lot of Marvel books (Mighty Avengers #16, New Avengers #43, Avengers The Initiative #15, Captain Britian and MI13 #3, New Warriors #14, Guardians of the Galaxy #3, The Invincible Iron Man #3, Captain America #40, American Dream #5, GeNext #3) that I'm glazing over. I will say this about those books:
1. I'm thinking of dropping New Warriors.
2. ATI has a cool cover.
3. TIIM harkens back to the Movie a bit.
4. CA the new Cap fights an old one.
- Part 2 of the Old Man Logan story line (Wolverine #67) came & it's awesome! I like me some post apocalyptic futures & this one is done right! I think I might be sad when this story line is over. Also, I think this is the only time I've actually looked forward to the Wolverine book coming out.
- A new issue of New Exiles came out & I'm still not sure I like the book. There hasn't been anything that had truly swayed me to a love of the book like the old Exiles book did.
- My Sister is cool! For many reasons but one is that she part of the armed forces, that's cool in & off it's self but she all gets free comics. Comics made for the the armed forces, books that you can't get anywhere else. So she gets them she gives them to me. Now they have all been Marvel books, either DC doesn't make Comics for the Army or my sister just hasn't gotten any. One thing that might be a bit nit picky: Is I'm not sure where this Avengers book fits into continuity. Iron Man &Spider-Man are arguing. They way they talk makes me think it's current or at least from the past few years, definitely Post-Civil War.
BACK ISSUES
- Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #90 the book is from 1984 which means it's out during The Secret War. I picked up the book because the cover has Black Cat on it & I like her. It's good story. Also, this story has one of the, maybe, first appearances of the Black Costume.
- Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #97, From 1984 & the cover is misleading:
No where in this issue does this scene happen. Sure, the stuff on either side of The Hermit happen but the main image doesn't. Spider-Man doesn't really ever fight The Hermit, he's not even called that in the book. He's Timothy Quail who as the books says "has the natural gift to solve problems" which is exploited by a few mobsters. So, Spidey's fights them not Quail. It's a good issue. I know I'm not doing it just but go check it out.

- Spider-Man #25, it's from 1992, guest stars Excalibur. The Spider-Phoenix makes maybe it's only appearance. The Villain of the issue is Arcade. This story is a semi-sequel to the Marvel Team-Up #65-66 where Captain Britain & Spider-Man first meet where they also fight Arcade.
- speaking of Marvel Team-Up, I picked up issue 96 where Spidey teams up with Howard the Duck.
- What The.. ? #8, it's the return of Forbrush Man, the hero from Marvel other Humor magazine Not Brand Echh!
- The book I'll talk about is Marvel Two-in-One Annual #7 where The Thing and a few other heroes (Sasquatch, Colossus, Thor, Namor, The Hulk & Wonder Man to name a few) all face off, one by one, against The Champion.

This is Entry 46: I hath foreseen it!
Yesterday, I had just read the latest issue of Booster Gold & I was 3/4th of the way through the book & my mind went back to Entry #4 of this very blog. I was rambling on about the first issue of that series while I "talked" about it I made what I called an Unfounded Prediction but just what I can now call that an Founded Prediction! Why? Because what I had said would happen did! That's cool!
Now will I tell you want that thing is: No. You'll either have to go back & read Entry #4 or go out & read the latest issue of Booster Gold. I suggest you do option 2, also read the past issues: they're good, too!

This is Entry 44: Comics!
I'm back with this weeks comics. It's all Marvel & there was 11 books! Normally I would get that much & it would be a good mix of Marvel, DC & maybe some other stuff. But it was a good week for Marvel. Also, 5 of the books relate to the Avengers & 4 books tie into Secret Invasion. I will say this I am not reading the main story at this point. But I might or I might just wait until it's all over & read the trade.
So, getting on to the books....
2 cool books but I don't have anything really to say about them: Captain America & Fantastic Four, both have cool stories going on in them. Both are written well & the art is good in both. So, pick 'em up & read them!
I was excited when I saw this book on the rack: What If this was the Fantastic Four? So, why was I excited about this? Well, for one it's a What If & I do like me some alternate universe stories! But this book was bitter sweet, it's written by Jeff Parker. But that not what makes it bitter sweet, it was to be drawn by Mike Wieringo & he had started in on it (he had done the first seven pages) but then I passed away of a heart attack which left the book unfinished. So, 'Ringo's friends, admirers & fans in the industry took up the book to finish the book. After the first seven pages, the art changes every couple of pages. You have art by Art Adams, Stuart Immonen, Alan Davis, Humerto Ramos, Skottie Young, Mike Allred & Barry Kitson among others. Most of the book was inked by 'Ringo's longtime friend Karl Kresel. The book was put out in association between Marvel & The Hero Initiative so proceeds from the book go to them which is cool. SIDENOTE: For my thought of Mike Wieringo's pasting see Post #3 of this Blog.
Another book I don't have much to say about this go around: New Warriors. I just want to say that the weird art of the last few issues is gone & ok art has returned! It's by a Reilly Brown, I don't know much about them but they have done issues in the past of this series. I wouldn't mind if they stayed on the book. They have a nice style & it would keep the weird art from returning.
Runaways #30 came out, it's the last part in the took-longer-that-it-should-have story by Joss Whedon. It is also the last issue of this volume since next issues the series is being relaunched with a new #1 (like the 3rd for the series), a new writer (Terry Moore) & a new art style (courtesy of Humberto Ramos). I will say this I did like the art here in this story arc, it was by Michael Ryan & wouldn't mind seeing more of his stuff elsewhere. Also, I was a good reason I read this book in the pile first because, luck of the draw, the next book down was....
... The Runaways/Young Avengers: Secret Invasion tie-in book which follows the events of Issue #30. Now the cover art of the team-up was by Ryan & I thought it was be his art inside: No! It was by a Takeshi Miyazawa which wasn't bad but my mind sometimes connects cover artist to interior artist which isn't always the case.
Continuing the each-book-relates-to-the-next theme, I picked up the 3rd issue of the Avengers Fairy Tales & this issues takes the characters from Alice in Wonderland & the Young Avengers mixes them together. Cassie Lang (a.k.a Statue) is in the Alice role. Also, the art in this book is by the same person, Takeshi Miyazawa & I kind of liked their art better here then in the other book.
Finishing up the interconnectedness of the books: 3 Avengers books & all are Secret Invasion related.
- Avengers: The Initiative #14's last page has me questioning the entire series up to this point. Yes, it has me wondering "Who do you trust?"
- The Mighty Avengers #15 tells how & when Hank Pym was replaced by his Skrull impostor. Also, the issue has some nice art by John Romita Jr.
- The New Avengers #42 takes us back to before this series even began & how the the Skrull invasion was part responsible for the forming of the New Avengers. Next Issue: House of M.

This is Entry 43: LEGO!
This is short post with some information you can use:
- There are 62 LEGO bricks per person & the LEGO company makes another 2 bricks per person a year. If we all got our brick together, we could make 10 towers that could each reach the moon.
- The name LEGO comes from the Danish phrase leg godt which means "Play Well". But they also found out that in Latin "lego" can be interpreted as "I put together", "I assemble" & "I collect/I gather/I learn". But the latin word "lego" is derived from the phrase "I read". In Greek there is a word that where translated into English is "Lego" & that means "I gather, pick up"
So, now you know & knowing it half the battle! GO JOE!
